Rafael Sixto is founder and President of Sixto Architect Inc. and has 30 years experience in architectural design, planning, project management, preparation of contract documents, and field representation for commercial, recreational, residential, hospitality, and institutional projects. His in-depth knowledge of the architectural field includes site evaluation, master planning, design, feasibility studies, programming, construction documents, and construction management services.  Rafael is the client's point of contact for all of the firm’s projects, representing the firm from the initial stages of schematic design through construction project close-out.  His active participation with the American Institute of Architects has won him many outstanding awards for service to the profession and led him to the position of President of the Miami Chapter of the American Institute of Architects in 2001. Mr. Sixto has served on numerous community advisory boards, including the City of Coral Gables’ Board of Architects and the City of Miami’s Waterfront Advisory Board. He has also served as Director of the Board of AIA Florida. He is a recipient of numerous building design awards for his participation in large commercial and institutional projects and has recently taught as an adjunct professor of design at FIU’s School of Architecture. Sixto Architects has been established ten years.
